Hello! I’m Niall.

I live in Crookes, Sheffield with my partner and our daughter (who is probably the most photographed and filmed baby in Sheffield). I love football, walks in the Peaks, travelling, and taking photos in new places. I also enjoy a good pub quiz, gigs, and music festivals.

I’ve been filming for as long as I can remember, inspired by my parents’ Sony Handycam in the ’90s. I spent hours making my own little films (and not much has changed). These days I use professional kit, but sometimes I still grab the old Handycam to capture everyday moments. It also works surprisingly well at weddings.

For the past eight years, I’ve worked in television and online destination and lifestyle videos (from Researcher and Assistant Producer roles to Media Manager, Edit Assistant, and Editor). These experiences of working on both sides of the filmaking process has taught me how to craft visually beautiful, engaging short films that feel natural and unforced.

Making the switch to wedding videos with Hoot Weddings has been incredibly rewarding. I love the buzz of the day and capturing those fleeting moments you’ll want to see again and again.

I specialise in documentary style wedding films (staying out of the way and letting your day unfold naturally). Each film is shaped around you, with a calm, observational approach focused on real moments. Every couple is unique, and every film reflects that.
